Kemchido Combat Arts
The Kemchido Combat Arts is developed by Professor Rudy Duncan who has been in the martial arts for over 40 years. Professor Duncan created his system in 2009 and has been teaching his art throughout the United States and Canada. The Kemchido Combat system is a blend of Hawiian Shaolin Kempo, Chinese and Indonesian Martial Arts, and the internal arts of Tai Chi and Baqua. It also includes stick and knife fighting.
The art emphasizes the fighting art of kempo with its fast hands and leg striking and its adaptability, yielding and harmony with the body. It also uses the immobililzation and limb control and take downs. It blends the whipping hand actions from the Chinese Kuntao and Silat along with leg trapping and low kicks. It uses the soft yeiding movements of Tai Chi with the spiraling energy of the Baqua with its changing palms stikes and blocks. The Kemchido Combat Arts is a fighting system taking the best of several systems to enhance body movement, striking, trapping, avoiding while delivering devasting hand and feet techniques. To quote Lao Tzu, "The soft and the pilable will defeat the hard and strong."
